  The Elkhart Inn recently reopened the upstair diningroom. The Elkhart Inn has undergone several management and kitchen changes in the last several years. The result of these changes was inconsistent service and food. Those issues seem to be behind this landmark Elkhart Lake, Wi, restauraunt. The new general manager Krynn, is a well-known restauranteur in Elkhart Lake. Her friendly and competent style is reflected in the great service her bar and wait staff provides. And the food - is excellent! I had the roasted red pepper pasta with chicken The ample portion was prepared to perfection and was served with a salad of fresh greens. My wife's blackened salmon was equally as good. When my wife asked to substitute a potato for rice, this accomodation was made without a fuss. Although the wine list is limited, we found a delicious Cabernet Sauvigon to accompany our meal. We passed on dessert, but the selections looked delicious!! Our check came to about sixty dollars and included two cocktails, two entrees and a bottle of wine. For a fine dining experience, we felt this was a very good value. We would recommend the newly opened Elkhart Inn to anyone dining in the Elkhart Lake area.
